This Tex-Mex Nacho Bake with Cheese is a delicious twist on classic nachos. It's perfect for parties, game day, or a weeknight dinner when you're craving some cheesy goodness with a spicy kick.
Ingredients: 1 bag of tortilla chips. 1 pound ground beef or turkey. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese. 1/2 cup diced tomatoes. 1/4 cup sliced black olives. 1/4 cup chopped green onions. 1/4 cup pickled jalapeno slices. 1/2 cup sour cream. 1/2 cup salsa. 1 teaspoon chili powder. 1/2 teaspoon cumin. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. In a skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat. Add the chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to the cooked meat. Stir well to combine. Spread a layer of tortilla chips on the bottom of a baking dish. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the chips. Next, add a layer of the seasoned meat mixture. Top with diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, chopped green onions, and pickled jalapeno slices. Add another layer of tortilla chips and the remaining cheese on top. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve your Tex-Mex Nacho Bake with sour cream and salsa on the side. Enjoy!
