THE PETITIONING OF OUR LORD SATAN
PRELIMINARY NOTES We now move into the main Writings of THE BLACK GRIMOIRE, those containing the Satanic Rites, Black Arts and Infernal Occult Operations of the Grimoire itself. The Altar shall have been set up with three unlit Candles, a Candle Snuffer and all other relevant Implements required for the Workings that will take place. The Demonic Pentacle shall be at the center of the Altar wrapped in a cloth of Black. Our Workings begin with ‘The Petitioning Of Our Lord Satan’ . . . a powerful Petitioning Evocation which should always be read prior to all Rites and Workings contained within this Grimoire. It is the summoning of Satan to bestow is power and blessing upon the Workings which are to take place within The Black Sanctum at any given time, the Petitioning of Our Unholy Father to bring forth His Infernal Current into our Sacred Rites.
THE WORKING The Satanic Apostle should light the two illumination Candles upon the Satanic Altar and then stand for a few moments in silent meditation upon the calling of Our Lord Satan to empower and offer His benedictions upon the Rites that shall be carried out following The Summoning Of The Black Temple. When ready the Apostle should begin The Petitioning by reciting the following:
“Satan . . . Dark Lord of the Shadows . . . Grand King of Hell . . . Infernal Majesty and Supreme Ruler of the Demonic Legion . . . Ram Headed Lord of Dominion of the Black Fire . . . I Call to you Grand Master of the Abyss . . . you who are The Bloodied Thorn and The Piercing Nail . . . Black Goat of the Witches Sabbat . . . Carrier of the Black Flame . . . I Call to you . . . Petition you . . . to offer your Benedictions upon the Workings that shall be undertaken this night before the Satanic Altar . . . to send forth the Infernal Current of your ineffable Force to empower the Black Rites and Arts that shall manifest before the Sacred Shrine arisen in Honour of you and the Grand Demons of Hell . . . Lord of Illusions . . . the Possessing One . . . Unhallowed Lord of The Kingdom of Shadows . . . true Master of this mortal World . . . let the Gates of Hell open this night . . . and the true Power of your unyielding energy give power to my Workings here . . . . “ The Apostle at this point lights the Candle of Devotion to Satan and meditates briefly upon the flame, honouring Satan with their silence, noting any portents that may be painted within the kindled flame . . . they then continue: “I kindle this flame in your Honour My Lord Satan . . . in Honour of the Black Flame that burns within your Soul and illuminates the subconscious of all creation . . . that beckons beyond the Inner Gate of ourselves to arrive upon Infernal Shores via the rebirthing tides of Acheron . . . may your ineffable Power imbue my Infernal Workings this night . . . may it rise upon the tides of the Abyss . . . and empower and make manifest the objectives of the Black Magick Arts that shall be performed here at your Sacred Altar . . . by your Will my Infernal Father Satan . . . may this be so . . .
