If you are not eligible to vote in 2020 in the US because you are under 18, YOU CAN STILL MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE.

You can sign up to text-bank via the DNC or Resistance Labs. Today, my 12 yo daughter sent 2100 texts to FL about mail-in ballots. She made a difference.

You can sign up to write and mail postcards to MI, WI, FL through Postcards to WI or Postcards to Voters. Last night, my 15 and 8 yo kids wrote 2 postcards each. They made a difference.

You can sign up to send letters to voters via Vote Forward. All three of my kids and most of my 12 yo’s Sunday School class have helped with this. They made a difference.

Your voices are important. You can make a difference.

For the record, the 2100 texts were sent while binge-watching Gilmore Girls.

Today is a GREAT day to get started texting with Resistance Labs! They have a variety of trainings, including a slide-show.

“We're sending out millions of texts today to help people register to vote, ask folks to vote-by-mail, and fundraise for candidates across the nation. Join us throughout the day to make sure we win big this November!”

You need a laptop and a functional pointer finger. There are templated messages and you can kick up any questionable exchanges to a supervisor. It doesn’t use your phone number or any identifying data. If you can’t finish responding, you can just let the team know and your work gets reassigned.

My Friday In Numbers

I bought 600 postcard stamps

I sent 2600 texts to AZ voters for mail-in ballots

I walked 3.5 miles with my husband

I bought 8 lemons to make home-made lemonade and 3 boxes of toaster waffles so each of my kids can have 6 waffles this week

I cleaned 2 toilets and ran the dishwasher 2 times

I had 1 decent idea for the next chapter of my novel and assembled 11 poems for a 12 page folio

Here’s an easy platform to sign up for text-banking to help turn-out the vote. Your real name and cellphone number will not appear when you text and they are focusing on identifying Democrats in swing states and vote-tripling, which means asking agreeable voters if they will get 2 friends to vote, which has been shown to increase turnout by up to 3%.
