"I want you too." It was probably forward of her, after everything, but she wanted nothing more than to be with him.
He was surprised, which made him smile. Nodding his head, he stepped away from the bath, giving her room and peeled his wet clothes off.
Smiling softly at him, she moved a little closer to him. "Are you going to join me?" As intimate as it was, they could talk everything out together in the bath.
He tilted his head and thought a moment. “Only if you want me to” he told her. He didn’t want to feel like he was forcing himself on her.
Peeling off her soaking clothes off her, she left them in a pile and padded towards the bathroom in her underwear. She watched Oogie run a bath for her, smiling softly.
Oogie checked the temperature was just right and the level of water was balanced before he heard her enter the room. Smiling, he turned to her and turned the tap off.
"Thanks." She murmured, starting to peel off her sopping jacket.
He nodded, walking into the bathroom. Breathing in sharply, he reached for the taps and began running a warm bath for her. It was the least he could do.
"Y-yeah," She stammered. "Bath always helps." She suggested.
He wrapped one arm around her. “I’ll go run ya one, then” he said with a warm glint in his eye.
Vitani smiled as he did, reaching out to take his hand. Rain water and mud dripped off her, and she was starting to shiver slightly.
He took her hand in his and looked at her.“Looks like we could do with warmin’ up, huh?” he said, breathing a smile.
The lair hadn't changed and yet it felt so new to her. Stepping into their bedroom, Vitani paused again. Their bad was made, not slept in and everything was just how she had left it. She turned, glancing at Oogie.
Oogie looked down at his feet as she realized their bed was still made. Looking up slowly as she turned with a soft smile.
The smells and sounds were all the same, as if she had never left. It felt strange to be back here again. Stepping further in, she ran her hands along the walls, walking slowly to their bedroom.
Folding his arms and leaning against the doorframe, Oogie watched her wander around as though it were the first time she’d seen everything. He admired the delicacy in her touch, as though she were handling a precious item. He followed her to their bedroom.
