Have you tested out other or settled on a texting alternative because of Samsung's bullshit transition yet? In the same boat on my side.
I've been using textra. It's fine. It runs ads in the bottom because I don't feel like paying for it and all my group chats had to be restarted because I could no longer access the group chats that had been in use, but I can now respond to messages with emojis as reactions and no longer get the messages from apple users that say things like: "So and so loved 'entire body of message they reacted to'," so that's a plus.
