The BeechJet 400A / Hawker 400XP Light Business Jet Details
The Hawker 400XP / Beechjet 400A is a light jet that has gone through many changes and ownership transfers throughout the years. From Mitsubishi, Beechcraft, Raytheon and now Nextant. The Beechjet 400 is widely accepted as a solid and reliable option for businesses and individuals. Especially those who are looking to travel light and across short to medium range distances.
In production up until 2013. The Hawker 400XP is a high performance aircraft powered by dual Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D-5 turbofans, with around 2,900 lbs force of thrust each. It has a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.67 (MMO = 0.79) and a maximum range of up to 1,519 nautical miles.
The cabin is recognized as one of the most spacious for a light jet. The internal dimensions measure approximately; 4 ft 9" in height, 4 ft 11" in width and 15 ft 7" in length. The baggage compartment can be found internally and externally. Internally, the volume is near 31 ft³. Externally, the baggage compartment is approximately 25 ft³.
The Beechjet 400A has evolved quite substantially over the years. Starting out as the MU-300 Diamond sometime in the 1970s. It is currently being remanufactured by the company Nextant Aerospace as the Nextant 400X/XT/XTi.
