Mother Base map textures bc I needed them for a thing.
Hi there! Is there any chance you could maybe make a standalone version of the house rubber plant with the El Gran Jarron pot and its recolors? Or maybe turn it into a default for the BG Philodendron (or any other "ugly" Maxis potted plant)?
Reason I'm asking is because I LOVE the plants you made for Keoni, but ever since I had to switch to a new PC/Win 10, I can't have many objects anymore or my game starts crashing, so I need to be really picky and only put what I love the most into the game/avoid similar items. In this case, my absolute favorite is the 4t2 rubber plant with the Jarron pot, but since it's repod to 2 other, similar plants, I'd have to get these as well and I can't really justify that when one object too many could make my game unplayable again.
(That's why I also thought it'd be great as default, since most people don't use the Maxis plants anyway and I assume that as a default, it wouldn't count towards the object limit, since it's technically just replacing an object that already exists and not adding a new object to the game?)
Anyway, thanks for all the lovely CC you bless us with, all your work is so high quality and looks great, I wish I could put everything you share into my game...
Hi anon !
I don't think making news objects are the best idea, for various reasons. BUT I made the masters you don't want to keep as texture files only and you can have them here.
And if you need this in the future for other objects, here is a quick tutorial. It's really easy :
Open your master in SimPe, and simply remove evrything that is not TXMT, MMAT, TXTR.
To be clear, you only need to keep these :
To do that, click on other lines (for exemple here, the BHAV), then right click on every lines it has, and click "Delete".
Once you have deleted everything except the TXMT, MMAT, and TXTR files, save your package.
Then it will look like this :
And TADAAAA ! That's it !
See as everything shows up fine in game for the repo'd meshes :
And the masters really won't show up as they are just texture files now.
What is nice with this method instead of making a new object, is that :
Future recolors of the masters will still work for the repo'd meshes
Future / other repo'd meshes will still work too
Creators won't have to update several meshes if an update is needed
It's not heavier for your game (texture files are exactly like recolor files)
Have fun doing it for all the masters you don't want to keep in your game :)
The Torrisi Family, from the Mafia: The Old Country artbook.
I ripped these from the game files itself so they should be high quality (3472x1728 in their original size, but Tumblr will resize them to 2048x1019). I've included the file names (as written within the game files) and in-game description for each art in the image description. Beware, some of the descriptions may contain spoilers.
Drawing of Il Merlo A carusu's drawing of Il Merlo.
You can pick up this note in the Prologue of Mafia: The Old Country.
I think most people missed this but Enzo and Gaetano were supposed to have lines when you pick up this note.
"You see this? Might be better than yours."
"Nah. If you want to draw Il Merlo, it needs to be ugly. This little guy’s far too handsome."
Gaetano's postcard, extracted from the game files of Mafia: The Old Country.
It's the same postcard that Enzo kept with him throughout the game. Address on the postcard: 44 Spruce Road Vernon Ave Empire Bay EB 37281 English translation:
Dearest nephew, I hope this message reaches you in good health. I washed up again in America and, this time, I’ve decided to stay. Write to me, if you can. Better still, join me here. I’ll buy you steak and eggs for breakfast. My fondest regards, Uncle Silvio.
Mafia: The Old Country Villa Torrisi Grave Decals
(WARNING: SPOILERS BELOW!)
I found the Villa Torrisi grave texture files/decals within the game files. In the game it's hard to read the names, birthdays and date of deaths but having the decals here made it a lot easier.
