A clip from last night's attempt at streaming my painting process!
Sorry it's a bit blurry :(
Crash Dummy Jürgen
Aight Jürgen is no more, this is Emmet now.
I didn't know exactly what I wanted, but I really wanted to draw directly onto my model instead of just applying materials. So I connected my Blender and my MediBang (2D art), and when I saved my MediBang piece with layers and good brushes and everything as a .PSD and reloaded the same PSD in Blender, the Blender texture would show exactly what I was doing in 2D there, which is really cool.
No fancy built in cross programming needed. I know that's possible with Photoshop but no thank you
Lining took me longer than expected but I did have a new tablet (shoutout to Huion, their tablets cost little but are fully functional as drawing tablets)
Part 2 - Part 4
Returning to the artist's illustrations @quagswagon, I now added a 2.5 design for which I used grease pencil, texture paint and modeling.
Making textures for a biiiig book project on loneliness, space, and self destruction. Can't wait to show the finished book! It's mostly pen and ink drawing but these texture experiments feel worth posting in their own right
Feel a bit weird posting these because I hardly ever post non figurative art, but microbiology and specifically mould are a really big recurring theme and influence in my art as it turns out 😅😅

More texture painting practice. I think I'm starting to get the hang of this.
Also, a tree!
