The season is just starting and I know some people might think that it's too early and theyll do it later, but really get them done as soon as you can, please. You can procrastinate on SO MANY THINGS but please don't let this be one of them.
"But why should I get a flu shot, they're only about 50% effective anyways." You're not the only one who matters! Herd immunity protects more people than you think. I am immunosuppressed, and I'm lucky enough that I'm still able to get a flu shot, but the fact is that a bad cold can HOSPITALIZE me. The flu would destroy me. Many of my symptoms such as fever, tiredness, and soreness are already common for my disease state and I might not even realize I have the flu until it's too late.
"But I can't afford a flu shot." If you are insured or a student many Walgreens and CVS clinics will do it for free. If you aren't, call your local health department. Last years flu was so bad many cities distribute a few free each year. Google more ways to get a free flu shot. And I'm still not perfect but for anybody out there who had that impression of me
I'm okay. I'm doing so much better, I may not be wonderful all the time but I'm okay. I'm doing okay.
