His name is POH, an ex-desepticon/ insecticon who fled from his original colony/hive on earth. he'd defected from his hive, becoming more individualistic; he felt that he couldn't bear feasting and destroying the nature the other insecticons (and clones) did.
Poh stowaway'd on a nearby cybertronian ship that was leaving earth to escape the call of his hive. when he was found on the ship, he managed to convince the bots on board on that ship to not just outright kill him for being a descepticon, claiming he could be useful.
He said that he could be their medic (as he noted how there was no medic on this ship) because during his time in his hive, Poh would teach himself surgery methods (this was primarily done on either himself or corpses of other bots/organics).
Poh was much smaller than the other insecticons, but he was also too big to be considered a mini bot. He averaged around hip height when compared to most bots (maybe that could be considered mini bot, idk :/). His small stature and nimble hands allowed for Poh to become a fantastic surgeon, since he could reach places, other medics would find hard or impossible to get to.
He has a cheerful personality that he'd adopted inorder to stay in the good graces of others, for he fears what would happen if he'd angered someone. When talking about sides, Poh would say that he's a neutral side because he does get behind some of the descepticons and autobots ideals as a mixed bag. But in terms of others, some would say he's a traitor for defecting (and seen numerous times helping autobots), while others would call him a descepticon scum and he should be put in the brigs.
