So that time travel nonsense I mentioned, yeah? Toward the end of the war, these two find themselves nyoinked to the present, both grappling with the fact that the world they knew is gone, each facing their own struggles with how things turned out (ie, Nycto being a ruthless Commander and Blisswing being a casualty of war, the planet itself being uninhabitable, etc etc…)
Anyways. Tragic lovers who get a second chance at life in a strange new time. ✨✨
I’ve been neglecting to share ✨Lore✨
Blisswing (left) and Duskblade (right) were both part of an elite guard unit to the city of Vos pre-war. The Vosnian Wing Guard is a bit of fanon I’ve made up, a religious paramilitary centered around the Guiding Hand and dedicated to protecting the city from outside forces, but especially against the Quintesson menace, founded after the first Quintesson war.
Duskblade later becomes Commander Nycto in the Great War. Blisswing, however… meets an untimely demise. (Don’t worry, time travel shenanigans means these two get their own happily ever after!! … sort of).
