Cosmic cry got an overhaul!!!

They’re an oc based on the starseeker frame type created by the lovely @dimorphodon-x (they’re really cool go check them out)

And they needed a bit of a fix. Some color changes like taking out that weird purple-ish and there were a few design inconsistencies I didn’t like

I also did sum lore updates:

So I changed a lot of stuff like for example how they got their name [during their time with the cons they hunted down quite a few mechs and killed them after pulling them out of their ships cause no one can hear you scream if you’re in the vacuum of space :) ]

Cc is a former resource hunter on the bots side (cause they ended up with a pretty mean group than only called them 605 cause that’s their designated number) who deflected to the cons and then later decided to fly solo

Brain decided they talk shit but they’re still really into space

They do a lot of body mods and will build just about any type of mod,

want optics in the back of your head? They can do that, extra limbs or a ridiculous amount of guns? Sure, why not, want your optics to blink in every color you can think of or your spike to shoot lasers? Sounds freaky enough, their in.

But remember, installing cost extra and they won’t hesitate to take their mods back if you don’t pay up (no guarantee there won’t be any casualties)

Okay okay, as a massive Drift fangirl, I feel inclined to ask what Swift Streak thinks of him and vice versa. Since Drift is Ratchet's friend and later his conjux, and TrailBlazer was his part-time assistent, what do you think Drift and Swift/Trail's dynamic would be :O

I see this having many angles tbh

from one side drift would be surprised about trail not caring for any of the stuff he's done before he'd even notice not getting the same sour look or heavy sarcasm some of the autobots get which would lead to him asking ratchet and finding out about what happened

From another trail probably wouldnt aim the same angry he has for some of the autobots towards drift seeing as he wasnt even a autobot back then and has nothing to do with what happened.

Tho drift would be surprised to trail's reaction to his past

"You killed we killed pretty sure everyone killed, everyone can play the Saint all they want but we all got energon on our hands" said so carelessly like someone talking about the weather that morning while he organized stuff in the medbay. Trail leaves drift stunned in the medbay as he carries some boxes to storage.

Drift and ratchet might subconsciously sorta adopt this neglected cat later on seeing how they keep bickering much like a family would

Depression decided I’m allowed to draw again so I gave cosmic cry a bit of an overhaul both in design and backstory (I’m also working on a new ref sheet)

Anubis is someone I haven’t really talked about. Like ever

(Still don’t know which version I like better)

She is a jackal beastformer based on \/this plushie of Anubis\/ I got a while ago but I added some more colors

She’s also part of my space crew I mentioned in a few other posts (I really need to make a post on all of them)

Originally I had designed her as a tfp oc where she was guarding an old temple containing the corpses of her family(?)/crew(?) idk in Egypt. (kinda fucked up concept. No idea where that came from)

In the crew searching for necropolis (I really need to come up with a name, got any suggestions guys?) she takes the role of a scout and if needed, a spy (due to the soft pads on the underside of her feet, she is very good at sneaking)

She was the last member to join the crew and preferred to go solo and outside of the war prior to meeting them.

Anubis primarily speaks in the primal vernacular so there was a language barrier when they first joined

She also likes to take naps in her beastmode and once she got comfortable with the others, started laying on top of them and sing beautiful lullabies in both the primal vernacular and neocybex when she noticed they overworked themselves

Her primary weapons in robot mode are two Khopesh that attach to her hips via chains (as seen in this old concept I made)

(First of, hi👋 cause you’re pretty much the only one that interacts with my posts who doesn’t just give likes)

But now it’s time for a lore dump on Cosmic Cry!

It kind of got a bit long😅

They are my Starseeker oc (larger 30f frametype)

Cosmic Cry was found alongside two other starseekers in an abandoned research facility on an uninhabited planet not too far from cybertron.

A group of autobots found them about halfway through the war and brought them online.

Cosmic Cry was formerly addressed as 605. Since the bots that found them didn’t really care to name them, they called them and the two other ones by the numbers painted on their backs between their wings. ( I’ll explain how they got their name in a bit)

CC (shortened cause I’m lazy) didn’t like it that they were treated like an object (partly because of their malfunctioning voicebox) and switched sides to be a decepticon where they worked in navigation for a while, making star maps and exploring.

During their time with the cons, CC met Oblivion (another oc), whom wanted to go neutral in order to search for an almost forgotten citytitan they researched before the war.

Together they left the cons for good because CC refused to kill during an attack on the spaceship they were stationed on and met up with a friend of Oblivion and join their crew.

Together they set out to search for Necropolis and sort of coincidentally become a band.

That’s all I have lore wise for Cosmic Cry so far! But I also want to talk about their frame for a bit 😁

Due to not being able to talk, and a lack of people understanding sign language (in their crew) they relay heavily on body language and often use their antennas and wings to emote.

After deflecting, they changed their weapons from a standard blaster they got from the cons to weaponising their body:

Basically, all parts of them that are this red-ish pink (like the wings) and the neon green are these sort of plasma blades doubling as biologhts.

Meaning when activated and with enough force, they can cut through virtually anything.

Additionally they have a sound based outlier ability they very rarely use. (Side effects being that they tend to be very drained afterwards or in some cases black out.)

This is also the reason their voicebox doesn’t work properly.

Their ability is that they can release a sound which interferes with electronic devices. Often rendering other bots disoriented for short amounts of time.

A bot once described it to sound like someone crying out in an empty hallway. ( that combine with their job as a cartographer gave them the idea for the name Cosmic Cry)

CC knows how to play the harp and violin and often does duets with Tank Treads (another oc that’s part of their crew) who plays the piano.
