Responsibility: Personal responsibility is one of the single most important of threads overlooked, and or flat out ignored, in modern society.
Why does life suck?
Because YOU, have not accepted personal responsibility for every single one of your choices, your thoughts and your actions.
Karma, "Do unto other...," "You get what you give," It is actually said in countless ways, and has been preserved, as a thread, in every single culture known to mankind, in one way, shape or form.
Sadly though, in almost every single "text" that has "survived" the countless book an text burning's and destruction's throughout all recorded history, where this fact, this thread is mentioned ... it is buried under a mountain of reasons, excuse's, why you actually do not really need to ever accept personal responsibility for anything, ever.
We live in a "pass the buck" society. Where it is always someone else's' fault. He / She made me do it, they made me do it, they were all doing it etc etc. And or, where we use "a system" to justify not accepting personal responsibility by blaming it on the system we live with in or believe in.
One of the mostly widely accepted and perpetuated threads that exists to this day ... is the thread, that puts all the blame squarely on the backs of woman ... Thereby exempting men, right out of the gate. BTW, the "lions share" of "text's," we have today, were in fact, written, edited, protected and preserved, by men.
God says so. My religion says so, because God said so. My government says so, maybe because God said so. My husband says so, maybe because his religion or government says so. You get the idea. So if you get caught with "your pants down." just know the chain of command for who you can "pass the buck" onto, and thereby consider yourself exempt from the personal responsibility of your choices and thoughts and actions.
So very sorry, but this is not how it works at all. You are the only person who is, and who will ever be, responsibly for your choices, thoughts and actions. You are, and will always be the only judge of your choices. Every single little insignificant thing you do, is connected to you and only to you. So, choose wisely and be prepared to accept the full responsibility for the outcome of that choice.
