It is when it’s part of a gratuitous transformation story.
Short Story - Performance
Brad's finger hovered above the submit button in the transformation app, unwilling to descend.
The latest phones included transformation technology as standard, and Brad had used it many times before.
At home. Alone.
Brad's finger moved. Not down, but to the side. He duplicated the preset, and started editing the copy.
Hair length longer. Breasts fuller. Hips wider. Clothes skimpier.
Anyone who knew Brad would assume this form was just something for a dude who liked hot girls to have fun with, and maybe get a laugh out of his friends.
She hit submit, and the door buzzer rang as she transformed. Her ride had arrived.
Brad bounced over to the door, already exaggerating her actions. She thought of the role she was going to play, and how to correct anyone who thought there was anything more to it.
She opened the door. The amused man looking back at her was her best friend Alex, she knew that, but he'd also used the app. He looked absurdly handsome, and Brad's heart beat faster as her cheeks turned red.
This was going to be a difficult performance to pull off.
🤨 “Why is this college full of catboy femboys?”
😞 “I wished to be the most masculine man on campus.”
😕 “You don’t look any different.”
😞 “Exactly.”
🤔 “Oh. That still doesn’t explain the…”
😞 “I don’t know why they have cat ears and tails.”
Dynamic breast enlargement or reduction based on behavior relative to generalized social expectations regarding body types.
Please note that these expectations are generalized from a pool of expectations and are prejudicial in nature.
Doing something absent-minded resulting in breast expansion does not reflect upon those who are well-endowed in chests and instead reflects upon collective social preconceptions perpetuated by stereotypes in media.
That said, if one wishes to have large breed sweater puppies, act a bit ditzy. Just do it enough that you’ve got some extra for when you do things that result in reductions.
Job or Role transformation: A transformation in which someone’s outfit, personality, and/or form is changed to fit a role or occupation (such as cheerleader, boss, nerd, wrestler, shy person, professor, etc).

The first option doesn’t mean “always.” Generally, generally allows for exceptions. It more means the concept itself is appealing. It still allows for ways it could be done you wouldn’t like.
The second one means the general concept isn’t that appealing, but specific exceptions you’re aware of exist.
The third one allows for hypothetical specific exceptions that MIGHT exist, but is a general “NOPE” to the whole idea.
The last one is basically a shrug.
A genie embodies “be careful what you wish for,” but what is the preferred reason for that?
Neutral, simply a classic stickler for phrasing (either by choice or by rules)
Prankster, looks for and finds loopholes for their own fun or satisfaction
Well-meaning, simply not that bright
Has a fixation on one particular sort of outcome and tries to make it fit wishes
They have quotas for wish types to grant and have to try meet them
The genie has to make every wish work within a style forced upon them

Most of these aren’t mutually exclusive, this is just “if you had to pick one primary reason.”
I was wondering what you think of the type of tf stories where the person is fully conscious of how the transformation changed their body and personality, but can't really do anything to go against it. Like in their heads they are still the same person but what they said get filtered through the transformation (ex: Someone tries to say something intelligent but due to a ditzy transformation it comes out dummed down). And they can try fight against it but it kinda take over them for time to time even on their mind. (I don't know if i explained this right tell me if it didn't made any sense)
As per usual, it depends on context. You can write something fun with this, and you can write absolute horror with this. The story and its tone will determine what there is to like or dislike.
From bureaucrat to villainess, for example, is an isekai anime in which a man effectively takes over the body of a young aristocratic woman in a fantasy world (which sounds like it could go some very troubling places, but ends up being one of the most wholesome anime ever).
The protagonist’s inner voice is how they’ve always been, but whenever they speak, there’s a feminine elegance to what ends up being said / done. A bow in his mind turns into a curtsy when performed. This is involuntary, and could be handled in troubling ways, yet, again: One of the most wholesome anime ever.
As for me, I can like it. I like it in that instance, and I could like a story depending on how it’s done. It’s not something I’d specifically seek out, but it’s something I can like.
I saw someone add the tag "writing prompt" to one of my posts, and now I'm wondering if I should just make bunches of transformation writing prompts for people to play with.
To clarify, I don't mean prompts to toss at a chatbot (though I wouldn't be able to stop you). There are whole books of writing prompts you can buy, and they're meant to inspire you to write things, not a computer.
Though maybe it's more fun to take those mundane writing prompts and say, "guess what? I'm adding transformation to this while remaining within the guidelines of the prompt."
