Edit: ALSO, in this au, I'm thinking of having them meet each other during the war with the Quentissons, where the Primes have not, yet, been betrayed by Sentinel.

Cyclonus is a soldier in the Highguard, and Tailgate is a waste disposal bot turned racer.

I'm thinking of making the idea of races during the war as a sort of morale boosters for both citizens and soldiers who are waiting for their next deployment.
