Never thought I'd see the one iconic TG Comics image on a feminization page, after forgetting about TG Comics for a long time!
Anyone ever heard of TG Comics? It's a site that primarily focuses on uploading MTF TG transformation art and stories. I encountered that site back in the late 2000s and became hooked on it for a few years. I was a big fan of CBlack (aka Jericho75), but also loved artists like Burntwitch and Femur, and a few other DeviantArt artists I recognized like MentalCrash, Ian Samson, and BlackShirtBoy. I remember enjoying hours of reading and viewing stories like Road Trip, Girl in My Dream, Fugitives, Free Will, and The Hot Date. I stopped using that site sometime after Scarlet got in hiatus (I just found out Chapter 12 was never animated and the author behind Scarlet passed away).
Years went by and I saw this image again on some feminization page on Instagram a month or so ago. In my mind, I said, "Hold up. I know this image from somewhere!" I decided to check the TG Comics website, hoping it wasn't dead, and to my surprise, not only is it still around, but my old account is still active! A lot of new content is still uploaded and a bunch of modern artists like MeowWithMe, RudySaki, and NotZackForWork are also a part of TG Comics now. Although I'm kind of glad a classic MTF TF transformation site is still up and active, I'm also glad that I moved on from that kind of stuff.
For me, TG Comics wasn't just a site hosting MTF TG transformation stuff; it was a yearning to transition into a female on the outside. This was back when the topic of transgender was just getting out of its marginalization, but still was no where near enough compared to today. I would spend hours imagining what it would be like to transform into a woman like the ones in the art, wishing that a change like that would be possible. If I had to summarize what my teenage experience felt like, I was pretty much an "egg". Now that it has been hatched or "cracked", content like the ones in TG Comics don't resonate with me anymore. I still enjoy viewing an MTF TG transformation once in a while, but it's no longer my main focus. However, I will say that TG Comics and similar spaces were there for me at a time when I couldn't figure out what I was inside.
If you were also into TG Comics, who were your favorite artists and what were were your favorite series?
