Special thanks to @no_ig_fred @msdutchlatte @inmyrunningshoes for the cake deliveries. 🚗🎂 Five years ago on June 21, 2015, in the midst of a torrential downpour, on a journey that took 23 hours and 48 minutes, my feet reached the #TGNY100 finish line at Times Square. As I look back, I am still astounded by how EVERYBODY came out at all hours, from morning, noon, evening, late evening, bleary eyed 3 am, supporting me from the Bronx, to Astoria, Alley Pond, Forest Park, Rockaway, Shore Road, Brooklyn Bridge, and I realized for them to come out meant I must have had a special place in their hearts. I am, and always will be, yours. The finish video was taken by, if I am not mistaken, @ameliameena . Time. During recent chat with a friend, he remarked how on appreciative he was about my time investment with him on his running journey. "The shit is valuable". When it comes to family, my time is given with all my heart. Even a text message late means yes to an even earlier morning run. :) So it was a mini @bulldogrunningtours with @lucyledezma on a relatively quiet Sunday morning through the Hudson Yards. When we got to 42nd, it was Lucy's idea to return to a spot near and dear to our hearts. We couldn't get to the exact spot of the #TGNY100 finish due to construction, but we made do. Maybe next year we find you here on a Sunday morning in June @pmccarthy23. Happy surprise birthday @tdev one month later! Happy surprise baby shower @itsmefi!
