You already knew what you were getting so I don’t know why I even bothered wrapping it. But figured that you had a set of season tickets for the Irish and also a few tickets for the different matches during the World Cup, gotta make sure I have at least one person cheering for me. I know your Uncle Harry probably got way better seats for your family, but these come with backstage passes. And who could go to a quidditch match without the proper gear? Now you won’t have any excuse as to why you’re wearing the other teams colors. Lastly, I included my autograph just for you for when I’m famous. Merry Christmas Lou and I can’t wait to see you when we get back.

Bruised and Battered: Louis and Phoebus

Fuck but he hurt. 

Maybe starting a fight with Briar wasn’t the smartest thing he’d ever done. Nor was trying to stand and stumble back to the common room rather than the nurses office- it wasn’t as though he’d admit he was fighting, that’d just get him and Briar both in trouble and he couldn’t risk being sat out for the next game even if it would be satisfying for Briar to have to sit out himself- after getting the shit beat out of him, but that was what happened. 

Thank fuck for Cygnus. The boy had helped most of the worst damage, and Louis had been able to get to the common room still looking some of a mess, but loads better than he’d been found. He owed that boy something big. Too bad all his funds were currently spread around the castle covering debts. He’d pay him back later. 

So for now, he lay stretched out on the common room couch, bitching about hurting to no one, as anyone with half a brain and a working ear had gone off to dinner to A. eat and B. get away from Louis’ bitching.

He made his way to the locker rooms, one of the seventh year girls had mentioned that she’d seen Phoebus in running gear and the logical after-run location to find the other boy was the locker rooms. He had to apologize for the piece in the Beat. He hadn’t thought through what he’d been doing when he kissed Phoebus, when he’d basically thrown himself at his best friend out in the open where anyone could see them. he had to apologize, had to tell Phoebus he wouldn’t let something like that happen again and try to make sure the older boy didn’t hate him for it. 

Fuck, he’d screwed up royally this time. 

“Phoebus?”

He needed to get his mind off Aislinn. It was still a few minutes before the refs would call the game to start again. Apparently they'd been out here for hours already, and the adults were worried the too-determined teenagers were about to collapse of dehydration. He was still edgy, and didn't really want to talk about Ais, so he went to the person who wouldn't make him, snagging the quaffle from right out of one of the Huff chasers' hands and flying over to Phoebus. "Care to block me until we start up?" He said, tossing the ball idly at the goal behind Phoebus.

Don’t Toy with Serpents: Phoebus and Louis

He nudged Aislinn laughingly, trying to ignore the nervousness that was settled in his stomach like a weight, trying to reassure himself by the presence of his team. They were scattered across the tent, eagerly awaiting the game to start, each with their ears cocked for the signal to exit the tent. He started to feel the excitement override the nerves, and looked around the tent at his familiar teammates. Familiar save for one.

Briar, the Hufflepuff beater, was slipping out ofthe tent, leaving in his wake a pissed off looking Phoebus, and on instinct Louis left Aislinn's side and went trotting over to the other boy, making a face at Briar's retreating back. "You alright mate?" He asked, lifting an eyebrow at Phoebus. It wasn't unusual for Briar to rile up the other teams, but between Alice's hyperness after her interaction with him, and the way Phoebus looked now, he wondered if the Hufflepuff beater was getting a little too comfortable with his riling. Especially to be sneaking into the Slytherin tent right before a game. Had he been any less sneaky, or Phoebus had decided to call attention to them, Briar would have been chased out by more than a few irate serpents.

Pre-Game Jitters: Louis and Phoebus

“Where is my fucking- dammit!” He threw the shirt in his hand across the room, but since that didn’t make enough of an impact as his annoyance had been hoping for, he reached for a shoe and threw that too, giving him the satisfying crack he’d been looking for.

“Louis, mate, calm down.”  One of his roommates advised from where he was reading on his bed.

“How about you fuck off?” Louis snapped in reply.

The other boy narrowed his eyes, not one of the people who usually took Louis’ moods lying down, which Louis would have been well advised to remember. “Lou, I’m not playing mate. Throw something else, I dare you.”

Louis laughed sarcastically. “You dare me? Are you serious?” He picked up his other shoe and threw that at the wall as well, shrugging like ‘do something’.

A few minutes later he was slamming out of his dorm room, holding a towel to his bleeding nose and stalking into the common room to throw himself on the couch there, sulking to himself.
