     “so i said, don’t touch my fucking hair, and all of a sudden i’m the bad guy, right?” thalia parted her braids into two sections, before grabbing a rubber band off her dresser. “people have a lot of nerve, you know? you ask them not to touch your person and then they think they have the right to get offended and call me a bitch. she was so lucky that she was an older woman and i don’t believe in beating the shit out of my elders.”

     Robyn sat comfortably with her back against the arm of the couch, Thalia settled between her legs with her back against her chest. The older girl’s fingers gently made their way through Thalia’s braids, carefully tightening the loose ones while they spoke about their day. Thalia was in the middle of talking when Robyn froze slightly, feeling a slight shift in the air. “He’s on his way home,” she stated suddenly, resuming her task as though nothing happened. 

     “You know it really freaks me out when you do shit like that, right?” Thalia teased, her eyes flickering to the front door as she awaited the arrival of their boyfriend. “Me knowing when he’s coming home freaks you out, but talking to dead people doesn’t?” She smacked her girlfriend’s leg playfully. “Shut up, you know that’s different.” Thalia had had that gift her entire life - she was just fairly recently learning about supernatural shit. The sound of the key shifting in the lock of the front door grabbed her attention. “How do you do it?” She asked, although she already knew the answer.
