pros and cons of being a disordered system with amnesia (general and emotional):

pros: you don't remember the bad stuff! and you don't have to deal with the memory of the bad stuff! so any crisis, a switch later and it's like it never happened! hurray for emotional amnesia and amnesia in general!!

cons: you don't remember the bad stuff. you can't process the memories of bad things because your brain decided that you don't deserve to access those memories. any crisis can't be processed 100% healthily because you have no memory of it and it's like the crisis never happened.

the part that fronts in crisis doesn't front otherwise, so it's forced avoidance. all for the sake of the body's safety.
