Most gays I know switch, because each wants both to experience the full freedom of sexual activity. To flat-out state that Sherlock is a bottom, always a bottom, can’t be anything other than a bottom, is to assume the character is somehow too damaged or otherwise mentally and emotionally disabled to express love in full intimacy, thereby applying non-valid stereotyping. (x)
in all of my sexual relationships i have always bottomed and been the submissive partner, and never really had any desire to change that. i never knew i was preventing myself from experiencing the full freedom of sexual activity. i'm really glad i finally know it's because i'm too damaged, as well as too mentally and emotionally disabled to express love in full intimacy. thank you, thanangst, for bringing this to my attention.
