Orphus/Thanat 82 (Can you hear me?)

No matter how many times you scream his name, he doesn't respond - you wonder if he even hears you. All he's been able to do since giving in to the whisperings of the Horrorterrors is curl further into himself, grasping at his now-stark white hair.

You grab him by the shoulders in an attempt to get his attention, but once your eyes meet his, bright red tears begin to flow down his cheeks. "Goddamnit, Orphus, look at me," you plead, feeling your voice crack. "You gotta break free of this shit, dude! You're stronger than this!"

Arteme kneels next to you both, gripping her matesprit's arm with shaky hands. You can tell she's trying to stay strong for him, but her eyes are cloudy with tears as well. "Thanat, we have to do something! He's in so much pain!"

It doesn't take an empath to know that your moirail's obviously in a lot of anguish, and Arteme's confirmation just drives it in further. "I don't... what the hell can we do? Is this grimdark shit even curable? How do we even..." You growl to yourself and take Orphus into your arms, burying your face in his shoulder so your inclade doesn't see your tears. "Please," you whisper, "let me know you're still in there..."

You don't know what else you can say to get through to him. And when he tightly wraps his arms around you, hands gripping at your coat, you find that you couldn't speak again if you tried.

they were moirails way before their session of the game started. thanat, rather obviously since he grows up to be the fuckin distorte, had a few screws loose in the head (not nearly as many as charon tho) and orphus was basically this giant moeblob so he did a great job of keeping thanat pacified and stuff

but then orphus went grimdark in their session and everything went to shit, i dont know all of the details yet but basically everyone dies and its horrible. once theyre in dreambubbles and orphus is released from grimdarkness, hes too mentally damaged to remember that he even has quadrants :( thanat doesnt give up on him, though. he figures that now its his turn to be the pacifying one and it gives me a lot of Feelings and
