Ha so I guess y’all thought I’d disappeared off the face of the earth, but here I am!

1. Favourite week from The Great British Bake Off/if you don’t watch GBBO, then your favourite baked dessert!

Never seen it.  My favourite baked thing is the chocolate brownies they make in my work canteen.  We don’t get them very often, sometimes not for weeks and weeks (thanks for nothing, Jamie Oliver) but they are divine.  The perfect combination of crisp outside and squisy middle and very chocolatey.  All this for 80p, and it’s waaaaay better than what you’d pay about £3 for in a coffee shop.

2. Builders tea or herbal tea?

No thanks, just coffee.  Actually sometimes I do have herbal tea in the summer, but I make it with ice cold water and let it brew for about an hour in the fridge.  Or I make mint tea from fresh mint, and drink it chilled.

3. Toto’s Africa or Rhythm of the Night by Corona?

This is a tough one, I mean... I would say Africa but I am fond of rhythm of the night, since it was very much a school disco song when I was a teen.  

4. Ever part of a sport’s team?

I used to row when I was at university.  It mostly consisted of getting up at 5am and rowing in the cold and dark for an hour or two, hungover as often as not, before going to lectures at 9am feeling like death.  ~Good times.

5. Is Hallowe’en a big thing in your country?

No, but those flippin’ Americans and their traditions are making it a bigger thing every year...

6. Favourite actress and your favourite role of hers.

I’m struggling to differentiate between ‘pretty girls who you have a crush on’ and ‘women who are good at acting’, so I’m just going to save myself the trouble and not even try to choose!  It’s too difficult.

7. Do you prefer scarves or just zipping your coat up?

My waterproof I wear zipped up because I wear it on my bike and even in the depths of winter it soon gets too hot for a scarf.  I have to wear a scarf with my proper coat because I can’t do it up any more because my boobs are too big which is sad.

8. Dyed hair or not?

I would like to but it’s dark so to do anything really good I’d have to lighten it first.  Also I would get in trouble at work so I can’t do anything interesting.

9. Victor or Viktor?

I don’t mind.  If I have to pick one I’d go for Victor.

Oh god I can hardly even remember it.  Sorry.  I mean I can remember vaguely what happens but I’m not good with names so...

Yesterday I was talking to my best friend about toxic ships because we started talking about a pairing that she wasn't sure *why* she wasn't into it, when she likes toxic ships.

And I said, while I too like toxic things (I also enjoy non-toxic things as well), I happen to enjoy toxic things where possibly the other party can be redeemed (in the case of hero/villain, good/bad or light/dark) OR, if it goes the other way and they are, in fact, monsters together, it isn't because the "good" party isn't duped into it. I prefer they do it of their own volition and if they happen to be in that monsters together situation, I prefer a power dynamic where they are at least vaguely level (if not level and in fact partners) because it's far more enjoyable that way. It's less about seeing someone's descent into darkness and watching them crash and burn because that'll bring them down to the other person's level but hey, maybe they had their reasons and they're happier for it?

But I always prefer the redeeming possibility, y'know, 'cause it isn't THAT messy (although I love mess).

I just met some of my parents friends and it was a bit odd but nice but at the end the lady hugged everyone else and then because she never met me before she said "Are you a huggy person" and I just thought that was so nice and I really appreciated it bc sometimes people assume and yea
