14. a fic you didn’t expect to write

Reader-insert in general. I think "when day is done" might have surprised me the most. I've always been iffy on somno because of the obvious consent question, so my discomfort with the trope extended beyond just "oh this takes me out of my writing comfort zone." But as I was in the middle of planning my kinktober fics, I was suddenly just hit with the premise for the fic and I needed to write it. And I genuinely think it's one of the best and sweetest sex scenes I've written.

Steve Murphy

First impression: i immediately vibed with steve when i first started watching narcos. i don't know what it was because that's normally not my type at all but something about the southern twang of his accent and how nonchalant he came across at first but i loved him in a second.

Impression now: still love him. steve murphy is my Brand™ and i wouldn't have it any other way. i have entire worlds built around his character because there's so much fun you can do with him and ugh i just.... yeah. love him.

Favorite moment: when he brings home olivia and doesn't want to let her go. when he jumps in front of tata and her family when those cars pulled up at the airport. when he basically told javi that he'd keep his secret about los pepes.

Idea for a story: still thinking about the nanny series i have planned with him. and brat tamers w him and javi.... they'll happen at some point.

Unpopular opinion: steve's narration was better than javi's.

Favorite relationship: his friendship with javi is my favorite thing and the little moments w them showing that they actually cared about one another are SO GOOD.

Favorite headcanon: that steve murphy FUCKS. that man is a brat tamer through and through and you cannot convince me otherwise.
