8. What piece of advice did you hear/read recently that's been helping you to improve your writing?

Idk where I heard this, but: write as soon as it comes in your head.

And I follow it to the letter. (I forget how the saying goes)

So far, the places where I've just pulled out my phone and jotted down ideas in my notes are: buses, trams, bus stops, tram stops, while volunteering at public events, at my teaching job in the bathroom, at school during a practice test, while guests were visiting (yes, i risked it), parks, the beach, in the middle of a streets + plenty more places. I've only been caught twice, and that too by friends.

I love this advice. It's the reason why I have 63 documents full of wips and 23 published fics.

During the Abnegation attack, when you found out that Tris and Four weren't under the sim, you pushed Tris' gun down towards your leg so she was able to shoot you and get away, I assume that you're a pretty smart guy, so why didn't you just push it aside rather than down. Was there an actual reason or was it just out of impulse?

If I had pushed it aside, I would’ve been left completely open. Since I pushed it down, my arm was still guarding my chest from any possible physical attacks. It was just instinct; you’re never supposed to leave yourself open like that.

Had I used my other arm to push it away, I would have been off-balance and my back would’ve been turned to her if the motion followed through.
