I don’t know what I’m more pleased about: finishing the songs well or having your approval and encouragement throughout.
I’m keeping this memory for when I feel down.
To take a break, I went through my sent box from years ago.
I was seriously juvenile, and very immature. There were so many things about the young me that I was not proud of. Reading some terrible emails made me physically sick; i actually felt dizzy opening some of them.
It also reminded me: The best thing that ever happened to me was Jesus.
I have an email sent to Jaekwan to ask about NUS Navigators, and though I came from a position of hurt, the good that came out of it was immeasurable. I learnt what my faith meant, and whether it was worth believing. I am still slowly letting go of my misconceptions of God, and as I survey the work He’s done on my heart I just feel so thankful.
Thank You for taking me in when I was nothing. For loving me even when I was unlovable (Romans 5:8)
There’s nothing in this world that I can own or be sure of, but I’m glad that I have You, and most importantly, You have me.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39
This verse speaks how God’s love has been and will always be for me. Today was wild. But God you saved me.
Then Jesus said to his host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.
Luke 14:1-14 was my quiet time passage a few days back. I meditated upon it and came to the conclusion that God wants me to do something for someone that they can never pay back.
But today, having been through a whole rollercoaster of emotions, contemplating why I am where I am, and the progress I’ve made, the stumbles I had, it occurred to me: Jesus is the one I can never pay back. I was falling into the habit of making applications that seemed right, but missing what God wanted to tell me.
I could never pay Jesus back. Not only because His death on the cross has saved me, but His love continues to provide for me daily.
Today, Luke 15:1-10 talks about the parable of the lost coin and the lost sheep. In our disposable society today, nothing is indisposable and everything is replaceable. Yet God holds us tight and our value is immeasurable to Him, such that He rejoices over even one of us being saved and coming to know Him.
Jesus. Thank You for loving me and being sufficient for me. I can do all things because You have made it possible.
Thank You Jesus,
You rly are the rock of my life. Apart from You I have no good thing.
We received the sponsorship from Lee Foundation; I’m studying in the Study at ERC and I rly wanna cry tears of joy.
Your grace is truly sufficient for me. Your power made perfect in my weakness. No longer will I have to hide my weakness, because You lift me up in them.
Thank You Jesus
At a time when nothing seemed perfect, suddenly everything just is.
At 22, I’ve finally stop dreading my birthday, surprises, celebrations; and if it was worth the effort.
Love can be unconditional because it is free. It isn’t cheap or subpar; but it’s free.
Come and see, You said. And I took my chance.
Everyday, snares await; self-sabotages are my first slips. But You are ever ready and more than able.
Psalm 94:18
When I said, "My foot is slipping," your unfailing love, Lord, supported me.
I got the greatest gift when I was born; into Your love and to be Yours and have You be mine.
God, I am so thankful for Angeline. I really am, and I thank You that You have placed her in my life to encourage me and give me godly advice.
