A Bit About Me

I’m throwing this little writeup together mostly for my @BleachFansUnite Twitter account followers. I wanted everyone to know a bit more about who runs that account.

Most fans are surprised to learn that I’m not a guy. LOL! They are also shocked to learn that I’m a 49 years old woman. Yes, I am a youthful, middle-aged woman who loves anime and especially Bleach! To be honest, I had wondered if I was one of the oldest Bleach fans, until Kubo Tite mentioned getting fan mail from 75 year old’s! That made me so happy! XD

It was important to me to promote Bleach not only for the fans, but to Kubo Tite, Jump, Viz, and all of the production companies and entities that are responsible for bringing the anime back someday. I believe firmly that we WILL see the rest of the Bleach story as anime, and I think it’s important for fans not to give up on that and to always express their desire for it. All of these important people/companies have an official presence on Twitter, so I felt it was the perfect place to do this. Thus, @BleachFansUnite was born. It’s very new, only a couple of months, but we are growing and hope to continue to grow as word spreads.

Please understand that I run the @BleachFansUnite Twitter account in my spare time. Most of the week I’m working. I’m manager of a nutritional supplement company, so I stay quite busy. But, I do have calm moments during the day, in between calls, emails, and my constantly evolving to-do list. I use those times to drop by the account and post, RT, comment, reply, etc. I want the acct to stay active and interesting for my followers! So I do my very best to keep up with it and not let too much time pass between visits.

When I’m not working I tend to stay away from the computer, mostly because I’m doing some form or art or something productive, so my social media time is minimal at best. I really do enjoy sharing, finding incredible fans and artists to gush over, and spreading my love of Bleach and anime in general. I will always do my best to keep up and share and post when I can. If I can’t always keep up with the demand, then I ask you to have patience with me and understanding.

We learned about Szayel’s history in “The Spirits Are Forever With You” Bleach light novel. Now I WANT Ulquiorra’s history-before he became a Hollow-SO BAD! PLEASE make this happen!!!

I’m on vacation so couldn’t take pictures of manga volumes. Luckily I had my Orihime hairpins that I didn’t even know that I brought along with me. In the 9th grade I had huge panic attack that the school had to put me on suicide watch. Everyday I had to see the school social worker to make sure I was doing okay. Reading Bleach was one of the few things that got me through. Kubo’s characters suffered from constant feelings of inadequacies like I did. If someone halfway around the world could write about the same feelings I was going through. I didn’t feel so alone because other people halfway around the world felt same way I did. The manga helped me grow a spine I was such a doormat back than. Through it I made new friends that I continue to cherish The story had its flaws but it was still a fun wild ride that I will continue to love forever. So, all in all Thank you Kubo for writing one of my favorite stories of all time with it’s amazing characters. I hope you don’t stop drawing and who knows? In few years you might come back to Bleach.
