Apparently like two days ago my mom went into emergency surgery with a not great likelihood of surviving (she did though. don’t worry) and the effort from my family to inform me of this consisted of one single attempted call from my dad in the middle of the night when i was obviously asleep and then nothing else until my mom herself got to me after everything was over. I love my family
