Hey is this a safe space? Can I give a little criticism to Date Everything real quick? It's a bit of a rant but hear me out a second?

I wanna keep in mind here that I love the game - it's very fun! I love damn near all of the datables in the game, and even if a character is not my type? The character design is super on point and I love it.

But...I gotta say. I wish we had more "ugly" and sillier looking women. Unconventional I think is the best word. I wish we had more unconventional women in this game.

Every woman in this game is serving like it's their purpose as an inanimate object. All of them got their own varied personalities and such, and I love them all for it! But all of them look like they got a skincare routine down pat. All of them are gorgeous. All of them are looksmaxxing. They could all be on the cover of Vogue.

And like...idk man. I wish we got a female Vaughn somewhere in there. I wish we had a Sinclaire situation with a female character. I wish some of them were a lot goofier looking and less conventionally attractive. At least for some of them!

I get it's a dating sim game, you gotta appeal to the players but like...what's Dishy doing here? Why does Sinclaire have a sink for a head? What's up with the living rubber ducky that's rude to me and makes unwanted advances (On God Rebel if you don't leave me the Hell Alone-)

Now. To be fair, this is a problem with so many video games. So much media in general is just like this and I think we all know why (CoughMisogynyCough).

But I'm so tired. If there is a weird ass woman in this game somewhere that's not conventionally attractive, please please please tell me. There's 100+ datable objects, maybe I missed one.

I don't know how to express this tactfully but some songs that the majority thinks are universally beloved just happened to be popular within your own culture and/or you grew up with them, and whatever significance you imbue the songs or musicians with is not universally felt

Thinking about Cordelia starting to do all sorts of experimental things to her hair after she gets it back, trying different styles and dyeing it and whatnot; because she couldn't do that when she was younger, so she does it now.

All those comments on youtube and reddit saying they want the dark gritty art style of origins back is like?? you mean BROWN?? cause origins is literally just fucking brown. I'm playing it right now and it is so fucking brown. Also origins took place during the blight so it makes sense for it to be mostly brown but I am so happy the rest of the franchise introduced other colors than brown.

the thing with early seasons Sam is YES he will turn into a shell of what he once was after enduring more than any human has and being blamed for more than any human should so forth so forth and YES with Cas he WILL end up treating his life as a bargaining chip after known lack of happiness until his last appearance is martyrdom but it’s DIFFERENT to compare that to early seasons Dean because they destroy his CHARACTER. and yes there are good stories to be told and so the cycle of abuse continues, but it’s not done well, he because a caricature of himself, he becomes completely unrecognisable in so many ways, flaws shifted that aren’t even inherent until the shroud over everything good that once existed in him. like all over Supernatural hinges on character devolvement. Sam isn’t written well for half of the show. But Dean’s character is utterly assassinated.
