Around the World in 8 Days Challenge

Certainly not 80 days, LOL. The challenge: each day will represent a country. Post your single favourite picture/gif/video of your skater(s) in that country. For help, I’ve included some of the competitions in each country, but feel free to use pictures from any occasion, including recreational/off-ice or skating shows.

The challenge will start on Sunday, March 19 and wind up just before all of our skaters start showing up in Helsinki. Use the tag #aroundtheworldFSChallenge to help us all see your choices.

Day 1. Russia (2014 Olympics; GPF 2012; 2011 Worlds; Rostelecom Cup every season)

Day 2. Italy (2010 Worlds) or Spain (GPF 2014; GPF 2015)

Day 3. United States (2016 Worlds; 2009 Worlds; Skate America every season; 2012 4CC)

Day 4. Japan (2014 Worlds; NHK every season; GPF 2009; GPF 2013; 4CC 2013)

Day 5. France (TEB every season; GPF 2016; 2012 Worlds)

Day 6. South Korea (4CC 2017; 4CC 2015)

Day 7. China (2015 Worlds; Cup of China every season; GPF 2010; 4CC 2014; 4CC 2016)

Day 8.Canada (2010 Olympics; Skate Canada International every season; GPF 2011; 2013 Worlds)

#okay with the SK one it's a little bit limiting #even with shows they've had there #sorry about that #turns out that competition wise it can be hard to think of even 8 countries that have a lot of events #makes me think about the team competition at the Olympics #I'm making this challenge a challenge to me to just pick one for each country #that will be difficult #you know I'm basically all VM #but this can be whatever skater you feel like posting about #something to help keep us occupied during the wait
