erm kinda lore drop they exist in the same console (dsi) and mr sys helps astro on his bum adventures (checking games for errors) and mr sys always tells astro to never interact with the game characters and astro assumes its because they'll tell the player and then they'll get caught 👀

but in reality its because mr sys is worried astro will get attached and take game characters from their games and render the game Useless (and sys' examples are duck hunt dog and king koopa)

when astro gets hacked mr sys is in a stasis and astro's loser ass doesn't know what to do without his advice
