Does Even have a type do you think? I mean, Isak and Sonja have the same, like, "colours" in that they're both fair skinned and blonde, and they also both have short hair + sort of the same height. But THEN Michael comes in with his olive skin tone, long dark hair and brown eyes.

this is just my interpretation, so this is not the truth in any way, but –  i don’t think even was ever in love with mikael. they were close childhood friends, and as a gay girl i interpret the situation as such: it’s a pretty hard line to navigate between romantic interest and a close, intimate friendship when you’re just getting real with your same-sex attraction.

for some, it’s easy as pie. for others, it’s tricky as all hell.

and i guess that line has the potential to be even harder to navigate when you have the addition of hypomanic/manic episodes. even has shown us that everything about him gets amplified during his episodes: his motivations and feelings stay the same, only turned up to eleven (sometimes beyond socially acceptable levels).

and so, i think even only realized how deeply he felt for isak just because he hadn’t felt that way before. that’s why he acted on it, because he knew isak wasn’t another mikael.

but back to your question: yes, i think even has a type. it’s probably subconscious. however, sharp, but ultimately caring people with darker eyebrows than hair seems to spark something in him.

(ps. you can’t tell me that leonardo dicaprio circa 1995 wasn’t at least a part of even’s mga awakening)
