Hey! Quick question. I had a training job working for a vet and his wife on their private property. They're phasing out my job this week and I have an oppotunity to get a job at a large facility. The lady told me to send her my resume and call

Her this week. I’m not sure how to put my horse experience on my resume, since most of it hasn’t been job related. I’m also nervous I won’t be up to snuff for what she wants, how did they go about hiring you for your trainingJob if you don’t mind me asking? Was there a riding test or a trial period? With my old job they just hired me on the spot

Hi there! So, if you’re talking about my spot at the rescue, I got the job mostly because it’s purely a volunteer job and I know the head trainer, and she knows me from my job at the ranch. I it’s the job at the ranch you’re talking about, I got hired at 16 years old by riding an unbroke mule and impressing my ex-boss, and I was hired originally as an exercise rider and moved my way up to a management position. 

But, if it helps, I actually do have a resume set up full of the details of my riding experience. It still needs to be tweaked, but here you go! I’ve removed the names of the barns simply for privacy purposes.
