Remember how the ‘rotten apple’ theory is applied by SJWs to everything. Fandoms, genders, skin colors, you know the drill. I’m in a place where the cops are famous for being incompetent at best, corrupt at worst, but they still aren’t all bad.

Yeah, Tumblr SJWs really love using that form of thinking. The thing about the police institution is that is not a hivemind. Just like there are people who are in the academy for gaining some power over other people, there are others who are in the profession because they love it and because they love it, they will do everything they can to protect other people.

I mean, I come from a place where corruption in the force is very very very common. Are there good cops in there? Yes, maybe most of the tree is rotten, but there are good apples out there and is not fair to treat them like that.

Yeah, the topic of the whole "fuck the police" mentality makes me kind of uncomfortable. Especially since I was studying to be one in the first place and I've met a lot of former police officers who were really amazing. I feel like people in Tumblr don't recognize that the police are doing a really dangerous job and get nothing but contempt in return at best.

That last bit. Oh my God, yes. So much yes. I personally find the opiate restrictions to be the worst, but I understand I have a bias because I watch my mother suffer daily because 'well if she takes more than 60 in a month, she'll get addicted!' If addiction allows her to...

I am very pro-drug, that’s accurate. Drugs for everyone. Yipee!

I’m 100% for the legalization of every substance from the 2-C group to methamphetamine to heroin to LSD. Forcing things in to a black market doesn’t make them go away, and criminalizing recreational choices, religious choices, or addiction doesn’t do anybody any good. I’m sad to know that this sort of wide scale legalization isn’t going to come around in my lifetime, but I am very thankful to have lived in a time where at least marijuana is being made legal.

We should have learned from alcohol prohibition. As a direct result of the prohibition of “narcotics”, we’ve seen a ballooning of addiction, the prison population, profits from the prison-industrial complex, and abuses of power within the judicial and police systems. Prohibiting substances, I believe, is a human rights violation. Addiction potential or no, everyone has the right to do with their bodies as they please.
