Beyond smirked as he coughed, speaking into the mic he'd set up in the room with a rather drugged up L inside, "Wakey wakey~" The man practically purred, a chuckle following in that same artificial voice, "Come on L. Wake up."
A sound drew him from his slumber, one that he did not even remember taking. Eyes slowly peeled open to reveal an unfamiliar room. Was he in a hospital? The room looked medical although it was sparsely decorated. L’s head was hazy as he tried to lift it, so perhaps he had injured himself and was now under medical care. But something about it seemed… off.
That voice. It echoed around him yet the source of it was nowhere in sight. It almost mocked him, mimicking something he had done before. Artificial voices protected his identity, but that was also true for others. L had no idea where he was, or who brought him here, but what unsettled him the most was how aware he was that he was being watched. Intentions unknown, the mysterious stranger held the detective’s future in his palms.
Male. That was all he could deduce. Although the chance remained that the voice had been female but lowered in editing, it held more qualities of a male owner. But beyond that, he was lost. He was on the street but then… he wasn’t. Barely being able to move and a groggy mind came with a cracked voice, which uttered one simple question.
