I don't necessarily love Gwen but I don't dislike her at all. She just hasn't had enough screen time for me to get attached yet, but she's done nothing to deserve all the hate.
this is exactly what I mean- "casual" readers do not have "strong" opinions about Gwyn or Emerie because what we got was exceptional sympathetic and the foundations of a character arc.
no one will ever convince me the die-hard haters aren't just obsessed with azriel and desperately trying to convince themselves if they can make everyone hate gwyn, sjm might not put them together.
