*giggle*  Apparently so!  I don't know whether unintentionally following oneself is better or worse than doing so purposefully.  :)  (Guess it depends on the purpose -- I could see doing it FOR SCIENCE.)

I can't even tell if you're horrified by the specific content of this post, or by the entire world I built for that story, or that I'm having omegaverse headcanons at all!   :)  (I... might be a little horrified still about all of the above?  But I'm trying to get over it.)

I decided that if I were going to write in that AU, I really wanted to come up with the playground songs and sayings and idioms that go along with the universe mechanics -- and that reveal people's stereotypes and assumptions.  I think I'm way more interested in that side of things than the details of the sex.  But a bunch of the sayings have to do with sex.

I am, incidentally, still pondering your responses to my questions about AUs and fiction, but not sure if I have that much useful to add, now that I think about it more.  My own liking of some non-canonical ships, and of AUs, has surprised me and crept up on me a bit.  But now I'm not sure quite why I was so personally resistant, given that I've always liked a lot of similar things.  E.g.,"what if" stories that show alternate ways a story could have gone, different authors' takes on the same basic premise, adaptations of Shakespeare or Sherlock Holmes that place the original characters in a different time period or setting, etc., plus lots of speculative fiction -- including stories about parallel/alternate universes. :) ).  So I find your own set of tastes and interests in fanfic fascinating, but I definitely have different (though not entirely disjoint) ones!  I love hearing you talk about what does and doesn't make sense to you about AUs and shipping, thought.  And your observations and typology of fic relating to MCU!
