The mage was muttering to herself, entirely oblivious to her surroundings as she stared intently at the book in her hands. She couldn’t help but argue with the theories it presented, and of course she had to do it immediately, while the information was still fresh in her mind... even if she was simultaneously navigating a busy street in the middle of town.
Disaster struck fairly quickly; one moment her eyes were locked on the sentence she was reading, the next her book was abruptly knocked from her grip and her glasses set askew as she ran directly into someone.
Miriel could do nothing but stand there and try to process what had just happened. Her entire train of thought had been cut off and it was taking her a moment to acclimate to her surroundings.
