This post is a special collab with thatwimpyboy and I. Haru did the drawings, and I focused on the writing. We combined our strength and we hope you like the result!

BOOM! Yasu heard a huge explosion coming from upstairs. She had no idea what caused it, she tried to look around, but it was difficult given that she couldn’t move freely. She had a very short vision, but one thing was sure. She could see the ceiling with ease. She noticed light coming from a further corner, and saw a young girl jump from it, not so gracefully.

“Oh.. Finally someone is saving me!” she looked at the girl, but the girl walked right past her, without even looking at her. She finally reached a miniature locomotive, and crouched at it. All of a sudden, the locomotive turned into another girl! “What!?” yelled Yasu. “These toys are, HUMANS?” she thought to herself. “Does that mean that I’m.. also a toy..?” This would explain greatly why she couldn’t move.

  She looked around, more people were coming in, and toys were turning human. She yelled, for someone to notice her, but no one did. Everyone kept walking past her, as if she didn’t exist. “I don’t know what I am so far.. but I need to get out of here..” She kept yelling, and yelling, “Help! Hello! Someone!”

  After the strange occurance of seeing a lady disappear before his eyes, Haru decided to seek out for his so called “locket partner”. Wrapping the veil around her arm, she reads the paper once more. “Basement.. hmm,” she had no idea where to look for a way to reach the basement. Suddenly, she heard a loud explosion, she looked around and saw a little girl made a hole into the ground, Haru tried to reach it, but the hole was closing itself.. She heard a second explosion, which looked closer to her, she ran once again, to reach that one. Once there, she jumped down into the hole, making it to the basement.

    After a rough landing, Haru looked at the surroundings. There were a lot of toys, but nothing quite like a locket. She could see a Golem being nibbled by a ghost.. Two puppets and some plushies. She could see people other than her walking around, picking up some of the toys and seeing the toys transform before her own eyes. Now all she had to do was to find the locket. She kept looking around, where she heard some music, she went to look, but it was only a music box. That was no where close to a locket that plays music.

    While walking around, she almost stepped on something shiny. She stopped and picked it up. It was the locket! “Oooh, what a pretty locket!” she exclaimed out loud. She put it around her neck, all mesmerized.

Finally, a young woman with navy hair picked her up. “Oooh, what a pretty locket!” said the navy-haired woman. “Locket, huh.. so that’s what I am?” She tried to talk to the woman, but she did not seem to hear her. She just kept touching the locket, looking at it. “She can’t hear me it seems..” Yasu thought.

    Suddenly, the woman took the locket and put her around her neck. Yasu, confused yelled at her “What do you think you’re doing! Be careful, I’m a human just like you!” Obviously not hearing Yasu, the woman looked surprised for a second, grabbed a piece of paper and stuffed it atop of the locket.

    Yasu felt her body changing, was she returning to normal? She felt her locket form float a bit and then she started feeling her arms and legs again, but wait.. she was in midair. She collapsed over of the navy-haired woman, finally in her human form. “What did you do?!” promptly asked Yasu to the woman underneath her.

  “What did you do?!” yelled the orange cat, after she fell on Haru. She had suddenly transformed as Haru put the paper on her. Well.. that was strange. “I didn’t do anything,” Haru responded. “I simply helped you get back to your human form.”

  Haru froze for a moment. She took a good look at the person who just materialized from the locket. It was HER! It was the girl who KISSED HER AT PROM! HER VIRGIN KISS! “Oh my god oh my god oh my god” Haru repeated in her head, jumping up on her two feet. “YOU, YOU!! YOU’RE THE---” she stopped and panicked around for a little bit, making weird screeching noises. She saw Yasu stare at her with the weirdest look on her face. She took a deep breath and calmed down. She wouldn’t know who she is right now, given that she transformed to a female. “Oh.. I’m sorry” she cleared her throat before speaking again. “I, huh.. I mean I saw you upstairs, our eyes met before you simply vanished into thin air. You gave me quite a fright!”. Haru gave a hand to the lady, who was still kneeling, to help her get up. After helping her get back on her feet, Haru realized she had the lady’s veil around her arm. “Oh, right! This must be yours,” she expressed, as she lightly put the veil back onto the cat lady’s head. “There, now it’s back where it belongs.”

    Haru gave her arm to the lady in a polite manner and smiled. “My name is Haru..ka, Haruka.” she said, as she corrected herself from saying her true name. “I’m your partner for the night, it seems. What’s your name?”

Year End's Festival; 01

  It was a cold evening, Yasu finally reached the Frozen Castle, lost in the far corners of Vales. She was not one to be afraid of the freezing weather, but it surely was not pleasant. As she was entering the castle, she noticed quite a few people were there already. She glanced around, but there were no familiar faces. After walking around for a little while, she remembers looking over at a navy haired girl before totally blacking out.

While blacking out, she could tell that her body was going through strange transitions, but couldn’t do anything about it. When she finally awoke, she had no clue how long she had blacked out. “How embarrassing..” she thought to herself. What could have possibly made her pass out? She did not drink, not yet anyways.

She tried to get up and walk, but her body was not corresponding with what she wanted to do. She took a quick glance and noticed quite a lot of toys around her. Where was she? This was oddly creepy. She noticed from her point of view that she was probably very low, perhaps laying on the floor. What was going on? Suddenly, she saw a teddy bear bouncing around. The toys were alive? What is this madness? She closed her eyes and hoped that it was all a nightmare. 

Realizing that she wasn’t going to wake up.. she started hearing some of the toys speak, she didn’t know what to do.. everything was way too confusing for her to wrap her mind around.

(birdy) Lemmy: stares down Merdavi and thinks he is new friend. Offers him a giant rat.

Hiro/Milreaf: Hiro suggests Milreaf to get Giegue with her to Merdavi. Notices Umbra and heals her hands.

Lemmy: Gets embarrassed because of Haru's doll exploding.As he gets a bandaid for Haru from Hiro, he notices a dog. Realizing who it belongs to, he carries it back and feeds the dog while giving Haru the bandaid. He also gets Rai a cardigan from Hiro.

Lemmy stared into the large dragon's eyes. New pet? New friend? Friend???

He noticed Merdavi inch away from him. He slowly approached even closer. Letting out a bird call, maybe this is a big featherless bird?? Like bony friend?? Curysus is bony friend??

Seeing as how Merdavi still avoided him, he cocked his head. Quickly realizing he did not offer his new pet offering, he put his beak under his wing. From another person's point of view, it would've looked like grooming. But he was actually looking into his inventory (how do pet inventories work) pulling out a rather large... presumably ancient gray rat, he dangled the rat in front of his face, holding the rat by the tail while the body swung slowly back in forth.

With his feet, he slowly wrote out:

"Friend...? Offering? Eat?" he stepped down, and wrote under it.

"Delicious. 2 days old."

Hiro nodded slowly, she seemed like she was testing his patience, and he was doing the same but... He relaxed a tad bit when she questioned her own actions. The head injury must've done worse than he had thought.

Surprised at the small jump, Hiro nods to go ahead, but stops. Another green haired elf was starting to approach the tent. There sure seemed to be a popularity in green these days.

"Sorry Milreaf, Miss. Giegue. I have to tend to someone. Forgive me." He steps out of the way and watches as Milreaf gently pull on Giegue with her non injured arm.

"Come on, I left him with Lemmy, but I'm not sure if anything could happen from then and now." she tugged a little harder on her arm. "Besides, the faster we get to your pet, the faster you can eat too!" She noticed her staggering, letting go she simply circled around Giegue to go behind her and pushed.

Hiro waited patiently, and nodded at Umbra.

"Apologies for the wait. Let's see what is wrong." He noticed she was able to come by herself, so she wasn't too injured internally... but... aha. "Ah, you must've touched the dolls when they were setting off."

Grabbing her wrists, to avoid damage on her hands, he gingerly brushed off the blackened area. It could be cloth...or dead skin, but he didn't bother to ask. Both options sounded almost gruesome.

He saw that they were a bit tender, some mild burns, as well as bleeding in some...

"Please just deal with my hands for a bit." gently placing his palms on hers, he pressed a weak ice spell to draw the heat away. Once satisfied, he squeezed gently and healed her hands. He smiled and let go of her hands.

"You're all set." ---

He caught Rai staring at him, and he avoided his gaze entirely. His face was a mix of disapproval and that he was caught. He was really worried but... he suppose he could go through his music drafts and compile a composition and piece it together... 

Lemmy smiled as Haru was getting acquainted with Rai. Even more so because the awkwardness passed off almost gracefully.

Noticing the small rip in Haru's clothes, he blushed a faint pinkish hue. He rubbed the back of his head. It would've been... extremely unfortunate if he had placed it in the front of his clothes.

Soon after, Rai realized about his own doll-fireworks. Because he was an activity host he was supposed to keep quiet about the actual purpose of these dolls. He got knocked over but noticed that Rai's sweater had reached the sky with his dolls. He patted his friend gently, as he tried to find something to give him.

'Aha... yes, that's supposed to happen. But..." he looked at the area where Haru was scorched. It looked like was bleeding a tad bit. "Let me get a bandaid from a host. And a sweater."

Slipping off the wooden sign off the booth, he carefully placed it down and headed towards the medical tent.

Hiro was checking up on Mardi still. Grabbing an anti-septic bandaid with healing magic properties. Just as he was about to dash off, he asked if Hiro had any sort of loose clothing. In a second, Hiro had reached into his bag and threw an over sized teal colored cardigan at him. Soon after, Lemmy ran back as quickly as possible to the other side of the booths.

Midway through, he heard a dog barking. It sounded like his own dog, actually. But his dog was at home being watched over by his roommate. Looking at the far distance where Haru and Rai were, he thought they could talk to each other... even if awkwardly for a few more minutes. Looking rather low for the sound of the dog, he passed by the grills when a small white dog had started to paw on his leg. As he looked down, he felt a small wet nose rub against his leg.

Shrieking a bit, the small dog backed out of his yukata and wagged at him. Getting on his knee, Lemmy patted the dog's head as he looked at their collar.

"Tine" he paused, trying to remember why it sounded so similar... until it clicked.

"Clemmyntine." he scowled a tad bit because of the name but then realized it was Hatto's dog. Was he here by chance...? But didn't want to get near him...???

Picking tine carefully into his arms, he looked around. He would've seen Hatto around... or heard him scurrying away. Or perhaps getting angry at him and punching him in the arm. Maybe someone was just watching his dog...?

Tine was trying to get out of his arms, scratching his chest and arm at the same time. Seeing at how adamant they were to get food... he felt bad and ordered a few orders of teriyaki... only not on a stick, so he could keep some in a box to feed.

Realizing he was still making Haru and Rai wait even longer, he scurried to take the box. Carefully giving a piece to tine, he held the dog carefully in one arm, but held the box in another so they wouldn't claw at him too much.

"Sorry for the wait! I found this little cutie around, and I didn't want to leave them behind."

He carefully set down tine on the ground, only after he scratched their head first and ripped the band aid wrapping. With a gentle press, he covered the entire burned marking in one go.

"You can probably take that band aid off tomorrow, but at least it'll cover you for today!" and then he threw the cardigan at Rai, "The one working the medical tent gave me that, so if you want to return that to him, you probably should. Or you can ask me to give it to him next time I see him."

As she finished tying her sash, she looked up at the dragon.

"In controlled cases like these, they're pretty safe. I suppose it's like how most people view things. Things that can aid you can also kill you. Knives can kill you, but it doesn't mean people don't use it still. Fire keeps people warm, but can easily kill them." she quickly tightened the ribbons in her hair. "Bonfires like these, they're similar to...ah... cuddling? They're great for socializing and having fun in, seeing things burn into flames is fun, I suppose. I'm not fond of seeing things burn."

Walking ahead of him, she slowly noted that no one really bothered her for having a dragon behind her. Presumably believing it was hers. She looked aimlessly around, trying to find Hiro. She noticed him at the Medical Tent.

"You don't like fire? Oh then... just stay.... right here! I think I see Giegue, and I'll be very nice and not mention anything." she looked around and stared at people watching her. "Hold on, let me call my bird. He'll watch over you. Besides, if anyone gets nearby, I taught him how to write! So he can write in the sand!"

Reaching into her inventory, she pulled out a small whistle. Blowing an intricate pattern, a rather large thunderbird flew down. Apparently in its mouth was a mangled coyote, despite the rather messy look, it seemed like a clean kill. The fine blue plumage seemed to be groomed extra well, it shone brilliantly in the dark area. Running towards her bird, she patted his head gently.

"Oooooh~~ Who's my good boy? Who is my adorable Lemmy? You are!" her baby talk would've frightened anyone. The bird dropped the coyote at her feet. "Is this the offering of the day? And you didn't even make a mess! What a good boy you are!" she turned around and looked at Merdavi. "he'll watch over you, okay? I'm going to get them."

She ran off into the other direction. Her thunder bird picked up the coyote and promptly threw the body into the flames, his deep eyes staring into it, only to slowly and almost mechanically stare back into Merdavi's. Frightening.

"A black dragon? I believe I saw one earlier on the beach." he didn't bother turning around. He kept a firm gaze on Giegue. He nodded when she mentioned the raffle doll. He continued to nod when she went on. What was she trying to get at?

His face remained untouched. Stern and void of emotion, but he nodded slowly.

"A black dragon going around able to nip someone. Wouldn't it be easier to either... muzzle it...? Or..." he checked Mardi's forehead temperature. "Not bring it at all?" he then looked back at Giegue with unmoving eyes. "if something was to happen, yes, the blame would fall on the hosts. But more than that, it would fall on you. Pet attacks don't happen unless they are provoked. Which may come from misconduct from the person, or..." he stared directly into her eyes. "the fault of the owner. Depending on the case, the pet could be put down. You don't want that to happen, right?"

Hiro completely ignored the last comment. His hair was like a wick for the most part. It caught on fire most of the time. He was about to drag Giegue around to find her pet, but he felt a hand press on his shoulder and his hair being doused with ice magic.

"Hiro, why aren't you changed into your yukata?" Milreaf stared at him and he suddenly realized that he was so busy with the tent and the bonfire it slipped out of his mind. He quickly snapped his fingers and brought his hand from the top of his head to the calf of his leg. His daytime clothes were quickly changed with his night time clothes. (I honestly think of a magical girl transformation)

Milreaf stared in awe but she noticed Giegue. She seemed a little surprised but she saw the bandage on her head. It would explain why she was not there with Merdavi in the first place. She tilted her head. Why wasn't Giegue at the food stalls? She was at the food the entire time at the promenade...

Hiro noticed Milreaf staring at Giegue and coughed lightly.

"This..." he paused. He still didn't know her name. "Madam... has lost her rather large pet dragon with large teeth and happens to be black with red markings, have you seen such a creature, Milreaf?"

She read the atmosphere about his more than subtle tenseness and nodded.

"Ah, Giegue lost her dragon? I was tending to it earlier. He's by the bonfire with Lemmy."

Hiro raised an eyebrow. He knew Lemmy was here, but... at the kissing booth, wasn't he...? He wasn't slaking... could he? He was never a slacker as a child... Doubted so as an adult...

"Kyuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-Kyuuuuuu, Lemmy." she emphasized, her eyes dazzling when she mentioned her beloved bird. Hiro nodded slowly. The rather awkward name for her bird had always made both him and Lemmy very uncomfortable. He slowly turned to Giegue.

"So... Miss... Giegue. Why don't we both escort you back to your dragon?"

His face flustered further as his friend giggled and  slapped his arm. This was a very serious matter! His last relationship was with a woman. And more than that, she cheated on with multiple times with 3-5 different men. He wasn't exactly sure of the number, but the feeling of being left for another still panged at him. He didn't want to mess up or cause him to leave him for another, even momentarily.

Lemmy stared at the booths, they seemed... In varying degrees of quality. Some were in great quality, some weren't... He could always make something. Something hand made... He was great with his hands after all...! N-Not like that... Well, he wasn't exactly sure like that... but he wasn't going to ask someone. 

Lemmy still had his head in his hands when Cuan and Miloriana walked up. He wondered if they were dating... They seemed pretty cozy at Prom...They looked good together, actually. He watched as Cuan placed down 50 gold. He wasn't upset with kissing a boy... his partner was male after all.

But instead of being kissed on the lips, Miloriana had pressed her lips against his cheek. It wouldn't be so bad... if it wasn't for the fact Cuan had taken the other cheek. He felt his face flare into red and could hardly see anything but white out of pure embarassment. He heard more gold being put into the tip jar, but he didn't really think about it.

He suddenly snapped out of it and shook his head. Miloriana and Cuan were long gone. He couldn't keep getting embarrassed every time someone randomly kissed him. Or just anyone in general... Hence why he was fine if he initiated a kiss, he would flare into embarrassment if it was the other way around. Always without fail. He pressed his fingers to his still burning red face.

"S-someone help me... f-forgive me...aha..."

He needed water to be poured on his head. He removed his hands, he needed air...air... just...

He heard Rai continue talking, his voice was very slurred still. Listening to the advice, he remembered the last time he was bold about his feelings. The poor ginger haired boy had collapsed out of euphoria. Then other times, if he said something remotely sweet...he got hit. Hard. He actually had bruises at places where he got hit but, he wouldn't tell him. Lemmy felt he would be scolded for getting easily bruised by being hit. 

"Hey guys, how's it going?"

"Hey, welcome to the kissing booth...?"

Looking directly at the one calling him, he eased a little bit.It was Haru.

"Ah? Well, as you can see here, I'm the one running the kissing booth at the moment. You might've just witnessed my greatest..." he paused, thinking about Prom. "Second greatest moment of embarrassment yet." he pointed at his knees, though he didn't think if Haru could see them. "My greatest moment of embarrassment had included an aftermath of an ice cold pitcher of water and rather weak knees. I had fallen out of embarrassment."

He laughed very awkwardly, he stopped and rubbed the back of his neck. Suddenly realizing his still exposed chest, he draped the yukata it closer to his body. He still had... bite marks... all over his neck and body. He didn't want anyone to see, or really point it out.

"So, what brings you here Haru?" he smiled gently. "Here for a kiss with me before I close up for the night?" he winked casually, chuckling he waved a hand away. "If you really are, that's fine." he looked around. "If not, that's fine too. My shift is ending so you can hang out with..." he paused. Neither of them knew each other.

He dusted his yukata off, gesturing with his hands he introduced them.

"Haru, this is my friend Rai. And Rai, this is my friend Haru. We can hang out in a little bit, since the fireworks are supposed to start rather soon." he leaned on his hand. "I hear they are quite a lovely sight to see tonight. It would be nice to see them with a sweetheart, don't you think...?"

He felt the situation get awkward. Damn.

... Strange. Pide's tone had strangely gone soft. Cautiously, she took the key and opened the door. Meanwhile, the two were flirting or something-- she didn't really understand, but if it cheered him up a bit, that would be good. She didn't really want to get involved in whatever play they were going to participate in, though she couldn't help but curiously listen to them.

Walking into the bathroom, she took a towel and dried herself off a bit, taking off the ribbon that wrapped her waist as well as her corsage. She stared at the flower that she had removed from her wrist for a little while, fragments of the pair's conversation sticking to her.

Princess.

Pide wanted to be treated like a princess? She didn't really understand that wish very well. Being coddled, protected, unable to do anything-- all you could do was watch and listen. It was like being a prisoner... But maybe that's what some people wanted: To have a small world. That sounded romantic in a sense, she supposed. Maybe she was just a little tired of it-- of being protected all the time.

Well, speculation rarely brought her anywhere. Maybe she could ask later. She removed the outer layers of her dress-- they were drenched, and she didn't really want it to soak through to the rest. Taking a seat on the couch in the main room, she looked at Pide and the other man.

"You two should get dried off... And Pide, you should get washed up. I'll bandage you up afterwards, so..." Her voice trailed off a bit.

The girl watched as Goo pulled Yuujin away from the table. Hopefully everything would be okay. And of course, things on her end weren't okay. Paytel had slammed a bottle of wine onto his brother -- she could only watch everything as the child in blue kept her in a conversation. She hadn't the right to interfere in their sibling affairs, in any case. Nodding in response to Paytel, who grabbed hold of Yasu, she began to stand to try and help Pide.

"Are you oka-- A-Alil!" Just as she began to speak, Alil's face landed on the pie in front of him. Way too much was going on for the girl. First Pide, now Alil... What do I do? Who do I help?

"Wha... Hey, Mistreil!" The Cyniel-esque child called out to her, "You take care of the wine-ing one, and I'll take care of the sweetie pie! Don't worry! My partner's probably going to be coming over later, so they can help me too! Just leave it to me!"

"O-okay... Thanks...!" She cheered up a bit at the pun and calmed down considerably. Looking back at Pide and the man in black, she noticed he had cleaned the wine off.

"U-um... If you'd like... We can get to the hotel on my carriage-- it's raining a bit outside, I think." They were planning on heading there anyways, right...? Oh. She should probably properly invite the man in black. He fed and cleaned Pide up after all. Huh...? Was he planning on coming even? She couldn't tell if he disliked the elf or not.

"You're free to come with us, if you'd like...? If not, t-that's okay too. I can..." She paused. She was going to say she could carry Pide, but amidst the chaos, she forgot the pain in her leg. She could walk on her own, but carrying someone larger than her at the same time was... Probably a bad idea. Did the elf even need to be carried? He seemed like he did but... Well, they could figure that out in a bit.
