hey can i ask what's wrong with sixpence? this is the first ive heard of anything and if they're doing something wrong i dont wanna keep following them

of course! I’m not an expert but basically a lot of the stories sixpence posts perpetuate the myth that mental illness = spooky scary evil, which is a harmful myth for the neurodivergent community. they’ve also reblogged some posts from supposed psychologists talking about things that their patients have said, which is a huge breach of doctor-patient confidentiality and, if they’re ever identified (and are actual real psychologists), they’ll get in some serious shit.

i don’t have specific links (i never planned on explaining this so it didn’t occur to me to save examples), but if you look on their blog for a while, these trends will become pretty obvious.

it’s not bad to enjoy some of their posts! i like some of their urban legend stories. but overall i wouldn’t call sixpence an ethical blog.

ao-kuro rubbed me the wrong way but i only started hating it when i couldn’t find content i wanted because ao-kuro is everywhere

my MAKE IT STOP non-fave ship:

ao-kise is honestly the worst ship in this entire fandom. i used to be into it but every fic i read was just kise’s hero worship and unrequited longing and aomine being dismissive of kise’s feelings and kise getting hurt. kise doesn’t deserve this.

it has a terribly unbalanced power dynamic which probably stems from hero worship. but balance is the no 1 thing i look for in ships so DEF TURNOFF UGH

my hatred of this ship is kinda hilarious because once kagami comes onto the scene it’s literally my ot3? like my favorite ship for this fandom??? riddle me that.
