I know you love your spirits. So if Sansa Stark was a drink recipe what would she be?
The Aviation, for our little bird!
2 oz London Dry gin (Plymouth or Bombay Dry)
½–¾ oz fresh lemon juice
¼ oz maraschino liqueur (Luxardo)
¼ oz crème de violette (Rothman & Winter)
It has a strong lemon flavor, sweetened enough by the maraschino liqueur to avoid tartness, but with a depth of flavor added by the creme de violette (ie violet petal liqueur) to avoid the one note simplicity of a gin lemonade. It’s pleasant and sweet and smooth, and yet still has a wonderful array of delicate flavors to keep it interesting. Also it’s just super pretty.
