OLIVIA BERKELEY (née Girard)
The first lady of New York and Julian’s wife — the other half of the political force of nature that is the Berkeleys. A face which spells out America’s sweetheart in perfectly golden cursive letters, and a mind much sharper than the blonde hair leads on. Mostly moral, but not always so. Mostly moral, but when it’s dark, it’s darkest. Other girls dreamed of being warriors, doctors, lawyers, leaders themselves — Olivia dreamed of being a princess, a mother, and a wife. In Julian, she found everything within that dream: to build an enviable family, all the while residing over a metaphorical and social pedestal. Together, they have two young children: Lucas and Camilla. No one cheers as hard for her husband’s presidential run than Olivia herself, and she’s willing to burn all bridges and cross all lines to make sure he succeeds. They, succeed.
