I know we all remember this recent Macbeth critic that was so well written and so enjoyable to read:

It is always a surprise, and a very rewarding one, come to think of it, to receive comments like this one - from one of the authors, nonetheless:
I have to say I was very moved by its warmth, especially now and especially in this environment. And I remember why I felt so enthusiastic about it: not only because it is so damn well written, but perhaps even more because I know how difficult it is to captivate this particularly discerning audience.
I also happen to be a staunch supporter of all those young, promising people who haven't got the time to become cynical me. They deserve rightful and generous accolades and all the encouragements they can get. Not that constipated, arrogant 'I am only posting real newspapers' critics' attitude. As I already wrote, I think The Boar is a newspaper in its own right: vibrant, creative and disarmingly honest. My heartfelt thanks to the critic. Yes, I definitely was very moved - can you tell?
I felt this comment fully vindicated all the (recent, but by no means new) trite drama over things too trivial to mention. Which I am not and will not do. My interest in the last sorry episode of cheap mass manipulation is cursory at best and purely, as a good friend shared (and I agree), sociological. Anthropological, even. That sorry game of nothing will be played without me. That being said, I am not going anywhere.
Popcorn time.
