Oh and also he totally lives up to his name and he's got a total hand for plants and shit its so adorable Alex and Charles basically gave him a whole greenhouse as a birthday present when he was like ten and its rlly cute

Also he's that typa guy to have rlly weird specific flowers that nobody else would ever touch in a million years and he talks about them like living beings and he sings to them its rlly cute

So idk if i told you guys but in the code there's two ceremonies, one at 14 (coming of age) and one at 18 (crowning or initiation ceremony)

And basically the one at 14 is where the person swears their loyalty to the code for the first time and that is then later affirmed at their crowning ceremony

This only counts for the kids born within the code tho, for outsiders looking to join there's two different ceremonies with the same idea but different names and traditions

And i figured smth out yesterday, which is an idea I've had for a while, so in the code the kids can choose their second. A second is basically who represents you when you're not there at a meeting, they're the one you trust the most and they're kinda like your parabatai

The thing is though that someone can only be chosen as a second if they've done both ceremonies, like they're officially chosen as a second at their crowning ceremony

Before that, they can be chosen as second at their coming of age ceremony, but then they're only second-to-be

If someone chooses someone as their second at their coming of age Ceremony, they can either affirm or change that at their crowning, like they can choose that person officially or they can choose someone else

And yeah that's all, usually the kids choose either their sibling, their partner or their best friend as a second

When someone chooses their second, its kind of a little bit like a wedding ceremony lol, they also stand in front of each other and take the other's hands

And then they recite this:

"My blood shall be your blood, my eyes your eyes, my hands your hands, my mouth your mouth."

"My power shall me your power, my strenght your strenght, my life your life. My love shall be your love, and my death shall be yours too."
