A little while ago, Anything Painted On Canvas contacted me with an offer -- a custom 12x16″ portrait of my babies, free of charge, in return for some publicity for their website. 

I warned them that I never know how far my reach will go, publicity-wise, but they were happy to work with me on a portrait of the Cryptids, and the result is the awesome bottom photo -- a lovely custom painting of Deebs and Dot, with a fun background I picked and a ukulele for added atmosphere. :)  I haven’t decided where I’m going to hang it yet, but it will definitely be in a place of honor. (I showed it off to my colleagues at work and they were all very complimentary.)

Painting a Tortie in particular isn’t easy, but I think the photo of the painting shows that they did a pretty great job, down to capturing Deebs’ pink nose and the white patch on the left side of her chin. I picked the background pattern because it was more interesting than my walls, and I really like the way it came out. It was fun to get to look through swatches and samples and select exactly what I wanted for the painting. 

Ultimately, I love the work that they provided, they were a joy to work with, and I think the photo of the painting bears out the talent. So I wholeheartedly put my support behind Anything Painted On Canvas for a pet painting but also for most custom work -- they did a great job recreating my Cryptids, and you can judge for yourselves the quality of their work, which I think is pretty reasonably priced.
