PENSIVE IN MY PENITENTIARY
I wandered lonely as a political prisoner that cannot wander much except around the prison yard when all at once I thought a saw a crowd of Hugh Hefners and a Playboy Bunny (just my luck it was not the other way round) but this is the democracy that I fight for the human right to vote, think, write and dream of the harmony of daffodils (pretty radical that idea in a time of new tax bills and global warming the rich doing everything in their power spiritually, electrically and with gerrymandered system to ensure that they are not the ones to fry first
March CAS Challenge Day 2: Girl Group
These two girls grew up together, their mothers were best friends and wanted them to be close too. Well, 20 years and a band later the girls realize just how in love with the other they were. So they married and started their own band, away from their friends called The Daffodils.
@our-dazed-sims love the recolor, absolutely amazing!
FEBHYURARY 2025 - DAY 01: Hello, World.
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
The Daffodils - William Wordsworth
I’ve neglected the property for years, but did a huge cleanup last year and plan to continue that. One of the rewards are these little surprises. In the 10+ years we’ve lived here I have never noticed the little varigated crocus tucked into one of the front beds. I suppose it’s not hard for them to go unnoticed when you’re not out noticing them.
The purple crocus popped up at the base of a maple by the woods. The previous owner would not have planted it there as she was pretty conventional, so I’m guessing a squirrel might have dug it up from a front bed, stashed it there and forgot about it. I have some daffodils I need to move come fall so you can bet I’ll put those and some more crocus bulbs there to give this dude some company.
