I would love to set up my grandparents with a curated YouTube channel. Like, give my grandmother one with channels like The Dodo because she likes animal and cat TV Shows. Or set my grandfather up with car channels like Redline Reviews or Transport Evolved. But to be totally honest, I can’t trust the YouTube Algorithm not to fuck them up. Like, it’s already a battle getting my grandfather to understand that this “woke” stuff he hears about in political campaign commercials isn’t a real problem. I literally watch nothing but straight up gay shit and Drag Race related content, and YouTube still serves me alt-right videos and Shorts. There’s no way in hell I’d ever trust it to treat my grandparents with kindness and respect.
