The Division : What to expect
The latest and greatest game out of Ubisoft is another game in the long line of Tom Clancy games in which players take control of an agent of sorts tasked with handling a harrowing event taking place due to some terrorist organization. The big twist here isn’t in the story while a bit cliched at this point is still interesting. The big draw-in for “The Division” comes in it’s gameplay and how it’s been compared to Bungie’s Destiny in that it’s game that draws much from the MMORPG franchises must of love or hate.
Q. So the big question is first and foremost, Is that a good thing?
A. My take on it yes, yes, and more yes. As shown in the beta about 3/4’s of the game takes place in the PVE (Player versus Everything) section having single or groups of players joining each others “instance” or their place in the current story world of New York to take on looters, criminals and cult like groups of individuals while trying to rebuild on the ashes of the city. The last 1/4 is an optional PVP (Player versus Player) specific Dark Zones that allow players to fight over the more rare and unique weapons, armor and clothes. These areas are pretty big allowing groups the stake out underground in the subways taking out wandering treasure seekers or to plague the rooftops picking off unsuspecting NPC’s (Non playable characters) and players alike.
While the PVP is fun and engaging, only grouping people of certain levels and the like it isn’t mandatory at all. So while Destiny and Division have a lot in common you wont be worrying if you’ll get an exotic weapon drop from RNGeezus. Exotic weapons are purchasable in the Dark Zone through vendors that offer exotics and treasure chests are spread about in the city as long as you can get to them before your fellow players.
In short while the two share certain systems and do both rely on mostly randomized loot, Division couldn’t feel any more different in the best way.

Q. How big is The Division?
A. Pretty damn big! Recent videos have been floating around the net comparing the size of Division to games like GTA V and Fallout 4. With the Conclusion being that you are definitely getting your bang for your buck in terms of mission and enemy density as well as just pure size. Here’s a video by MacroStyle on Youtube to prove my point :

Q. What Kinds of weapons can we use?
A. If the beta is a full indication you can expect to use the following:
Semi-Auto, Burst Fire and Automatic rilfes from different time periods, makes and styles
Pistols (Semi Auto, Burst and Automatic), “Handcannons” and Revolvers
Shotguns
Sub-Machine and Heavy/Machine Guns
“Sniper” Rifles including bolt action and semi-automatic

Q. What kind of clothes are there? Do they affect stats?
A.The clothes are all cosmetic and while armor does have a cosmetic effect under or around clothes they’re mostly unnoticable. You can choose to wear anything some you can choose to remove completely while others are optional. They include:
Coats
Shirts (forced)
Scarfs
Hats
Pants (forced)
Shoes, Boots, Sneakers
You can acquire these as random drops, quest rewards as well as drops from chests or even for just helping the denizens of New York with some water, food or medical packs.
