Your little "doona" in that fic felt so out of place... that's Australian only term for future reference, not southern American! But that affection for was being adorable and I loved it :) <333

Haha, which fic was this? I don’t think too often on changing my Aussie vernacular when posting little ficlets up here (which is why ‘mom’ is always ‘mum’, though I may be more careful with things like rubber/eraser, thong/flip-flop, scone/biscuit etc.) How many of you had to go google what “doona” meant? :P

Whomp. There is it. Apologies all! Doona is an eiderdown/quilt/duvet/comforter equivalent. I thought it may have at least been a British term also but google tells me no! (I see a few people put clarifications in their tags - thanks for having my back!) Yes, I am an Aussie :P What gave it away?

I've just read the Bitty affection ficlet and I have to say I got really happy when I saw you refer to it as a doona (because what else are you supposed to call it?) because most fic is swimming in american slang that makes my head hurt and it's good to see Australians trying to take that back :D
