is your new pan like a dutch oven? like it sorta looks like what I use for the bread recipe requiring a dutch oven that's like a mock sourdough (not the most sourdough but it's still tasty)

yeah i think so! we call it something different in dutch but afaik it's at least functionally the same thing

also what's your recipe?? i'm still using this one (modified for size and baking time tho)

Hahaha oh my goodness, do I even have any more secrets about this fic? Maybe I need to add it into my sidebar; ‘author of All the Sights of Paris fic’.

Okay, let me think.

This part was definitely inspired by that bit in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets where Lockhart drops his wand when demonstrating dueling to Harry and Harry sasses him about it. ("Now, Harry," said Lockhart. "When Draco points his wand at you, you do this." He raised his own wand, attempted a complicated sort of wiggling action, and dropped it... "Just do what I did, Harry!" "What, drop my wand?")

They stay close as Eric walks Jack through how to coat the chicken strips in the flour, egg, and breadcrumbs. Eric doesn’t know if Jack is playing up the visual learner aspect, because he stands right behind Eric, looking over his shoulder to ‘get the best angle’. Eric drops a chicken strip into the egg too quickly when Jack tilts in and their bodies press together.

“Maybe don’t do it just like that,” Eric has to say, not sure how closely Jack is planning on following his technique when he has his turn.

i say pe-cahn or pe-can but never pee but i dont think i count because im in california and have a weird out of place southern accent and socialize with people in new york                  

More money for the pecan pie fund! Seems a lot of consensus on the emphasis being on the second syllable...
